A summer celebration of volunteering is being held by the Volunteer Centre in Kensington and Chelsea – and this time with a dash of culture to accompany the tea and cakes.

Held at the Royal Society of Sculptors Friday 12 July and Friday 26 July – with two sessions each day 10.30 pm – 12.30 pm and 1 pm – 3 pm, Operation Cup of Tea is an opportunity for organisers and their volunteers to talk ideas and exchange information  – and it will be complemented by a tour of the gallery and a chance to participate in experimental drawing and music.

The Kensingt0n & Chelsea Volunteer Centre is 50 years old this year and in the last year alone 200,000 hours of volunteering have been completed with 374 organisations supported and 1500 volunteers successfully places.

Volunteer Centre Kensington and Chelsea is open Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm with volunteering drop-in days Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 am to 3 pm.
