The Dame: ACOUSTIC CAMERAS SEEM TO BE WORKING!

We all had our doubts about the efficacy of acoustic cameras in dealing with the supercar noise nuisance but, according to Cllr Johnny Thalassites, they are working. 

The results so far seem to prove his point. Over 130 warning letters have gone out to selfish drivers deliberately using their cars as vehicles of social nuisance rather than the intended purpose of going sedately from A to B.

Better still, the installation of these cameras demonstrates the positive outcome when residents and councillors work together.

Well done, Cllrs Thalassites and McVeigh….you have both made a difference. 

Acoustic cameras will never be the sole solution but they are a major part of the deterrent.
